Being a chairperson of the Pratishthan, I concentrated my efforts on the enrichment of the infrastructure of the college, the introduction of new courses, new curriculums and new disciplines in the knowledge of Higher Education. In the globalization of Higher Education ‘Academic Quality’ has become a must. Along with the traditional trends of Higher education, we have initiated some new courses of studies related to Computer Education and Science given the employment needs and opportunities in the field of Globalization.
The improvement in teaching and learning along with new teaching aids have been made effective. So that. Quality education will be imparted to all the stakeholders. From academic year 2007-2008, we have established senior science faculty, B.Sc. Program in Chemistry, Microbiology, Computer science, Botany, Zoology, Physics, and Mathematics along with Compulsory English. In addition to that in 2021-22 we added some skill-based certificate Courses like Alcohol technology, Fermentation technology, Water analysis, Sugar technology, Domestic electric appliancesrepairing and maintenance and plant pathology.
The quality generation aspect is also accelerated with the efforts of the IQAC of the college. The AQAR had been prepared and sent yearly after the process of accreditation by NAAC. We have achieved the ‘C’ grade for accreditation in 1st cycle. From 2018 onward IQAC regularly submitted AQAR reports in due time and they have been accepted by the NAAC office in Bangalore. Our efforts are also noteworthy in providing social services through the media of the National Service Scheme, and the staff to support the policies of the State Government as well as the Central Government. The student’s progress in academics, sports, culture, and other various aspects of personality development, is marvellous. We are stuck with our goals, mission, and objectives. We are marching forward with all these toward the quality generation, maintenance, and sustenance in the field of higher education.
The 21st century is being understood as the "Knowledge" century. Higher education is expected to play a pivotal role in the global economy. The Colleges and Universities therefore are the central institutions to play the key role. The cultivation of youths with sound and advanced knowledge and skills as well as the cultivation of research-oriented analytical minds is challenging. To cope with these challenges and needs it is indeed important to transmit the knowledge and skills to students in an effective manner. This requires a total transmission of traditional attitudes about higher education. The efforts of NAAC in the cultivation of quality aspects were found vital and fruitful.
Being the Director of the college, I put my all efforts into enriching the infrastructure and the facilities for a better teaching, and learning atmosphere of the college.
